The opponent gets to order the triggers for damage replacement, hence it is logically wiser to triple the damage from Fiery Emancipation, before adding 2 due to Torbran, Thane of Red Fell. For example, 1 damage would become 5 (1×3 + 2), and is better than taking 9 damage (1+2, x3).
