Several media outlets in Singapore were treated to a special early preview for Outlaws of Thunder Junction (OTJ), and Tap & Sac was honored to be one of them! The clandestine, off-the-street meetup took place at Molly Malone’s Irish Pub deep in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District, with the 2nd floor completed tranformed to look like the outlaws’ favorite saloon on Thunder Junction. It was dark, moody, and even came with a drinks bar (just without the alcohol).
Not only were the full line of OTJ products on display, this was the first time we glimpsed physical cards belonging to The Big Score and Breaking News variants that are found only in this set. All were great reveals, but the main highlight for this high noon pow-wow was getting to rip open a prerelease kit right there.
Just when we thought business was concluded, we were treated to a fun (and super easy) OTJ trivia game, and winners were ushered to a grand vault. Everyone walked away with a Collector Booster pack as just rewards. We’re going to keep it tucked away in a secret corner.
Prerelease events for OTJ start this Friday (12th April) and go on for the whole weekend. Regardless of where you are, check out Wizards’ Store Locator if you want to find the closest store to home. Wizards is also running an in-store promotion if you join any prerelease event. Joining one will get you a prickly-cute cactus collar pin, while two or more will bring even more loot!
